2. produce basic coding, eg move forward, turn left, turn right, destroy block

3. use loops to simplify the code

4. use the ‘if then’ command

5. run the code and check that it works

6. using code without a computer by moving a small toy around obstacles on a grid

7. watching demonstrations on how to perform coding tasks either by video or by the teacher.
