Level: Pre-Entry Level

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. identify given coins and sort them using more than one criterion	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
2. use coins to calculate the total cost of different items up to at least 10p	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
3. calculate the change due after paying for a single item costing less than 10p	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
4. identify at least two different sums of money using coins up to £1	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
experienced 5. using coins up to £1 to calculate the total cost of different items on a shopping list	Summary sheet
demonstrated the ability to 6. estimate the change due after paying for a single item	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
experienced 7. sorting a number of coins into two parts of equal value	Summary sheet
